Frequently Asked Questions

1. When should I get a dental checkup?

We advise most patients to get a checkup and dental exam at our Brampton dental clinic at least once every six months. Although twice a year is the norm, the dentist may ask you to visit more frequently based on your general oral health and risk factors. The greatest method to avoid oral health issues and identify them early is to have a dental examination.

2. What may a dental examination entail?

Your teeth, gums, and mouth are thoroughly examined during a standard dental checkup to look for indications of gum disease, decay, and other oral health problems. In addition, your Brampton dentist will probably polish your teeth, provide a thorough cleaning to get rid of plaque and tartar, and possibly take X-rays to examine your dental health in greater detail. It's also a chance to talk about any worries or inquiries you may have regarding your oral health.

3. Does insurance cover dental exams?

Yes, biannual exams are covered by most dental insurance plans. To make treatment affordable for everyone, we provide financing options and accept a range of insurance coverage.

4. How much time do routine examinations take?

At Bramdale Dental, a normal dental examination takes between forty-five minutes to an hour. We may evaluate your dental health in detail, give you a professional cleaning, and talk about any necessary treatments or preventative measures during this time. We work hard to make sure each appointment is effective while ever being hurried, offering individualized treatment based on your requirements.

5. How can I maintain my oral health?

Establishing healthy habits at a young age is the greatest method to maintain proper dental hygiene. Steer clear of acidic beverages, sugary snacks, and sticky or hard foods as these can lead to cavities. It is advised to floss in between meals and to brush twice a day. Some patients find that using an electric toothbrush improves their outcomes. To reduce the risk of infection, ask your dentist for a recommendation on an antibacterial mouthwash.
